I've led organic growth at Unmetric, eG Innovations, and StreamAlive, and along the way I built the same set of SEO dashboards in Google Data Studio four or five times. Slow loads. No annotations. The data window resetting every 16 months. I got tired of it. So I built KeywordHistory.

The story

Why KeywordHistory exists

At Unmetric and eG Innovations, I watched the same thing happen every year: Search Console kept exactly 16 months of data, then quietly dropped the oldest day off the back. Year-over-year analysis became guesswork. The historical context we'd use to make decisions was just… gone.

The standard fix was Google Data Studio. So I built dashboards. They worked, but they were slow, the data limits kept biting, and there was no way to annotate what had happened: no marker for the day we launched a new template, redirected a section, or got hit by an algorithm update. Six months later we'd look at a spike on a chart and nobody could remember why.

When I moved to StreamAlive and started shaping the SEO program from scratch, I hit the same wall on day one. That's when I decided to stop rebuilding the same flawed setup and ship something proper instead.

KeywordHistory is the tool I wished I'd had at every job for the last decade. Search Console data, backed up to BigQuery before it disappears. Annotations pinned to every chart. The analyses I always wanted: cannibalization, striking distance, brand vs non-brand, AI visibility. All built in.
